writing obligatory, bill of exchange, promissory note for the payment
of money or property, or endorsement, or assignment of any bond,
writing obligatory, bill of exchange, promissory note for the pay-
ment of money or property, acquittance or receipt for money or
property, OR SHALL UTTER OR PUBLISH AS TRUE, WITH
INTENTION TO DEFRAUD ANY PERSON WHOMSOEVER
ANY FALSE DOCUMENT OF WAIVER OR RELEASE OF
MECHANICS' LIEN shall be deemed a felon, and on being convicted
thereof shall be sentenced to the penitentiary for not less than one
nor more than ten years.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 81
(House Bill 119)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 24 of
Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume), title "Courts," subtitle "Court of Appeals," amending
the laws concerning the residence of judges of the Court of Appeals
and of the Court of Special Appeals in order to provide for the
effect of their residence in Anne Arundel County, in or in the
vicinity of the City of Annapolis during the terms for which
elected.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 24 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume), title "Courts," subtitle "Court of
Appeals," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
24.
No judge of the Court of Appeals or the Court of Special Appeals
shall be deemed to have abandoned his residence in the appellate
judicial circuit or the special appellate judicial circuit for which he
shall have been elected by reason of his residence in Anne Arundel
County, in or in the vicinity of the City of Annapolis during the
term for which he may have been elected, unless he shall signify his
intention so to abandon his residence in his said appellate judicial
circuit or special appellate judicial circuit by voting in Anne Arundel
County, in or in the vicinity of the City of Annapolis.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
