and Mental Hygiene. At said stated or special meeting a majority
of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum thereof. The
Board of Medical Examiners shall keep an official register of all
applicants for examination for a license to practice medicine and
surgery in this State; said register for licenses shall show the name,
age and last place of residence of each candidate, the school from
which he or she may have graduated, and whether such applicant
was rejected or licensed under this subtitle; but such matters shall
not be written in said register or made public until after the
examination.

The Board shall make an annual report to the Secretary of Health
and Mental Hygiene and
a report to the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty of Maryland at each annual meeting of said Faculty.

145.

(a)   Commission on Medical Discipline established; membership.—
The Commission on Medical Discipline of Maryland, hereby estab-
lished as part of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene,
and hereafter referred to in this section as the Commission, shall
consist of the following persons:

The president of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State
of Maryland.

Two practicing physicians appointed by the Secretary of Health
and Mental Hygiene
[Governor of the State of Maryland], selected
from a list submitted by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the
State of Maryland, such list having been composed from a list
of nominees submitted by component societies of the Medical and
Chirurgical Faculty and two other licensed practicing physicians of
the State of Maryland appointed by the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene
[Governor of the State of Maryland].

Three members of the Board of Medical Examiners to be selected
by the Board of Medical Examiners.

The Chairman of the council of the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty of the State of Maryland.

(b)   Quorum; office; rules and regulations; limitation on member-
ship.—Seven of the nine members of the Commission are a quorum
for the transaction of all business.

The Commission may establish and maintain an office within this
State and shall make, adopt and promulgate rules and regulations
for its own government and for the proper supervision and control
of the professional conduct of all persons under its jurisdiction, as
provided herein and not inconsistent with the laws of this State or
of the United States.

There shall always be nine members and no person shall serve
in a dual capacity. If there are nominations which would lead to
such an occurrence, the [Governor] Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene
may designate a practicing physician from a list submitted
by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland,
such list having been composed from a list of nominees submitted
by component societies of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty.
