of medicine or surgery in the State of Maryland, and of recognized
ability and integrity. In case of a vacancy occurring on the Board
it shall fill the same until the next annual meeting of the Medical
and Chirurgical Faculty, when said Faculty shall select an examiner
to serve for the remainder of such unexpired term. The Governor
shall, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene, and
after reasonable notice and opportunity for
hearing, have the power to remove any member of the Board for
any of the following causes: Misconduct in office, incompetency,
immorality, willful neglect of duty or any cause which is a ground
for revocation of a license to practice medicine and surgery in this
State.

The Board shall, with the approval of the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene,
at its meetings on the first Tuesday in June of each
year, appoint one of its members as secretary-treasurer for the
Board, whose term of office shall last one year, and who shall be
eligible for reappointment, and whose duties shall be as follows:
Within sixty days from the time of his appointment such secretary-
treasurer shall request the Clerk of Circuit Court of Baltimore City
and the clerk of circuit court for each county in the State to furnish
said secretary-treasurer of the Board a list of all physicians who
have been legally registered in such court during the last twelve
months and said clerks shall furnish such lists upon request and
the same shall be retained as official records of such Board. He shall
see that all physicians who have been registered, and not entitled
to be registered under this subtitle be presented for prosecution to
the State's attorney of the City of Baltimore, and of each county
in the State in which persons so charged, respectively, reside. The
secretary-treasurer shall keep the official records of the Board, as
provided for in Section 122 of this subtitle, the examination papers
of applicants for at least three years, after they have been passed
upon by the Board, after which they may be destroyed, and a com-
plete list of all registered physicians in the entire State. He shall
call to the attention of the State's attorney of Baltimore City and
of the different counties throughout the State all violations of the
law under the subtitle. He shall collect and hold all moneys belong-
ing to the Board, for which he shall, upon entering the duties of his
office, be covered by a surety bond in accordance with the provisions
of Sections 46 through 50 of Article 78A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland. He shall receive from the income of the Board such
salary as the Board , subject to the approval of the Secretary of
Health and Mental Hygiene,
may determine.

The Board of Medical Examiners shall meet on the first Tuesday
in June in each year for the purpose of organization. At said meet-
