An Act to enact Section 166A of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition, being Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title "Lower Shore Shel-
tered Workshop, Inc.", authorizing an appropriation to the Lower
Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc. in the amount of Seven Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00).
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
WICOMICO COUNTY, MARYLAND, that Section 166A of Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition, being
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title "Lower
Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc", be enacted, to be known as Section 166A
and to read as follows:
Section 166A. Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc.
The County Council of Wicomico County is hereby authorized and
directed to levy a sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00)
and appropriate the same to the Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc.,
a non-profit corporation of the State of Maryland, to be used by said
corporation in furtherance of its objectives.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that this Act, having
been passed by the County Council of Wicomico County at its Legislative
Session of February, 1968, shall take effect April 1, 1968, unless a proper
petition for referendum thereof shall be validly filed prior to said date, in
which event this Act shall not take effect until the expiration of thirty
(30) days following approval of this Act by a majority of the qualified
voters of the County voting in any such referendum.
