2064                              MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

Section 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Group 4 of
Sections 41-4 and 41-38.1 of the Baltimore County Code, 1958 (1966
Cumulative Supplement), Title "Pensions and Retirement," be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

41-4.

Group 4. Policemen and firemen consisting of the permanent em-
ployees of the regular Fire and Police [bureaus] Departments.

41-38.1. Certain members of the police and fire [bureaus] depart-
ments
need not be examined.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 41-38
of this Code, members of the regular Fire and Police [bureaus] Depart-
ments
applying for admission to the employees' retirement system of
Baltimore County need not be examined by the medical board created in
section 41-38 of this title, provided such members have passed the phy-
sical examination required by Special Regulation 2.02 of section 22-3.2 of
the Baltimore County Code, 1958 (1966 Cumulative Supplement).

Section 11. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 45-16 of
the Baltimore County Code, 1958 (1966 Cumulative Supplement), Title
"Taxicabs," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
to read as follows:

45-16. Same—Fees.

The following taxicab driver's license fees shall be paid by the ap-
plicant: Three dollars for the original license; three dollars for each
renewal thereof. A copy of each license issued shall be forwarded to the
Police [bureau] Department by the Department of Permits and Licenses
with photo attached, and the applications shall be filed in the Department
of Permits and Licenses. A fee of one dollar shall be paid by the applicant
for replacement of a license lost or stolen.

Section 12. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this bill shall take
effect at the same time as Bill No. 72, 1968, becomes effective, but shall not
take effect at all unless said Bill No. 72, 1968, is adopted by the voters of
Baltimore County at the November 5, 1968 election.
