16-5.1. Disposition of Removed Articles.
Whenever, under a warrant of restitution, as provided for in the pre-
ceding section, the goods in possession of the tenant have been removed
from the premises, such goods and effects may be removed directly to a
Baltimore County storage area, provided notice is given to the tenant, by
personal service, or by affixing such notice conspicuously on the leased
premises, of where the goods are to be stored, and how they may be recov-
ered by the tenant or other rightful owner. Baltimore County is hereby
authorized and empowered to hold and retain said goods for a period of
thirty days, during which time the owner thereof may appear and make
claim therefor, and if no claim be made within said time, the county is
further authorized and empowered to sell the same, at public or private
sale, or to otherwise dispose of the property; provided that notice of inten-
tion to dispose of said property be given by publication in a weekly news-
paper published in Baltimore County once a week for two (2) consecutive
weeks preceding the sale or other disposition thereof.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUN-
CIL OF BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That section 7-49 (a) of
the Baltimore County Code, 1958, (1966 Cumulative Supplement) title
"Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment," Article II. "People's
Court," be and and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:
7-49. Fees and costs—generally.
(a) Subject to the provisions of section 7-50 of this Code, before any
of the following acts or services shall be performed in connection with any
action or proceeding in the people's court there shall be paid to the clerk of
the people's court for the use of the county, on and after January 1, 1961,
the following fees and costs:
For filing, trial costs and memorandum in action ex-contractu
and ex-delicto—one defendant .................................................... $3.00
For amended statement of claim—one defendant ........................ 2.00
For each additional defendant in original suit.............................. 1.50
For each additional party to be served with amended statement
