Tax Resolution No. 5
Resolution, to levy and impose a property tax for the use of Balti-
more County for the taxable year beginning July 1, 1968 and ending
on the thirtieth day of June following, and to fix the rate of county
taxation for such taxable year.
Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That a county property tax for
the taxable year beginning July 1, 1968 and ending on the thirtieth day
of June following is hereby levied and imposed on all assessments, per-
sons or property subject to ordinary taxation in said county; and that
the rate of county taxation for such taxable year is hereby fixed at
$3.49 $3.47 on each $100 of assessed valuation of such property.
Section 2. RESOLVED FURTHER, That this Resolution shall be-
come law and take effect on the first day of July, 1968.

An Act, to propose an amendment to the Baltimore County Charter
to increase the compensation for the members of the County Council,
by amending Section 204 of the Baltimore County Charter, Article
II: "The County Council."
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND (five members thereof voting in
the affirmative) that the following section be and it is hereby proposed
as an amendment to the Baltimore County Charter, Article II: "The
County Council," the same, if adopted by the voters of the county as
herein provided, to become a part of the Baltimore County Charter:
Sec. 204. Compensation
Each member of the county council shall be paid for the performance
of his duties as provided in this Charter the sum of $6,500.00 [three
thousand dollars ($3,000.00)] per annum. Such salary shall be in full
compensation for all services required by law or by this Charter to be
