AN ACT, To lower the age limit for persons permitted to play on or
use billiard or pool tables, by repealing and re-enacting with amend-
ments section 19-2.1 of the 1966 Cumulative Supplement to the Balti-
more County Code, 1958, title "Offenses—Miscellaneous."
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That section 19-2.1 of the 1966
Cumulative Supplement to the Baltimore County Code, 1958, title "Offen-
ses—Miscellaneous," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments as follows:
Sec. 19-2.1. No person operating any billiard or pool table for pro-
fit, or who has the control of any room wherein is kept, used, or operated
for profit any billiard or pool table, shall allow any person under the age
of sixteen [eighteen] years to play on or use any such billiard or pool
table. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and may be subjected to the penalties set forth in
section 1-6 of the Baltimore County Code 1958.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect forty-five days after its enactment.
