be filed as permitted by law, provided a complete and exact copy of this
resolution shall be continuously posted on the bulletin board in the office
of The Commissioners of Perryville until May 23rd, 1963, and provided
further that a copy of the title of this resolution shall be published in
"The Cecil Whig" and "The Cecil Democrat," both being newspapers of
general circulation in Perryville, or in any other newspaper of such gen-
eral circulation, once in each of the weeks of April 14th, 21st and 28th,
and May 5th and 12th, 1963.
Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COMMIS-
SIONERS OF PERRYVILLE, That the President of the Commissioners
is hereby specifically enjoined to carry out the provisions of Section 2
hereof and, as evidence of such compliance, the President shall cause to
be affixed to the minutes of this meeting appropriate certificates of publi-
cation of the newspaper or newspapers in which the title of this resolu-
tion shall have been published and shall declare the Charter amendment
hereby enacted to be effective either on June 2nd, 1963, or following a
favorable referendum thereon, by affixing his signature hereto in the space
provided on the effective date of such amendment.
Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COMMIS-
SIONERS OF PERRYVILLE, that as soon as the Charter amendment
hereby enacted shall become effective, either as herein provided or follow-
ing a referendum, the President of the Commissioners shall send separately
by registered mail to the Secretary of State of Maryland and to the De-
partment of Legislative Reference of Maryland a clear certified copy of
this resolution, showing the number of Commissioners voting for and
against it, and a report on the votes cast for or against said amendment
hereby enacted at any referendum thereon and the date of such refer-
endum.
The above Charter amendment was enacted by the foregoing resolu-
tion which was passed at a special meeting of the Commissioners of
Perryville, held April 21, 1963, 5 Commissioners voting in the affirmative,
and 0 Commissioners voting in the negative, and said resolution became
effective in accordance with law on the 2nd day of June, 1963.

Resolution of The Commissioners of Perryville, adopted pursuant
to Section 3 of Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland, and in
compliance with Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), as amended, to amend the Town Charter
as the same appears in the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1961 Edition), being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, Title: Cecil County, Subtitle: Perryville, by adding a new
subparagraph to Section 312(a), which Section was added to said
Charter by an amendment adopted by Resolution of The Commis-
