1910                              MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

filed, the Mayor and other proper officials of the City of Cumberland shall
comply with all of the provisions set forth in Sections 13 to 17, both inclu-
sive, of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

Section 6. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That as soon as the
Charter amendment hereby made shall become effective, either as herein
provided or following a referendum, the Mayor shall send separately, by
registered mail, to the Secretary of the State of Maryland, and to the
Department of Legislative Reference of Maryland, a complete certified
copy of the text of this Resolution, the date of the Referendum, if any is
held, a certificate showing the number of Councilmen voting for and
against it, and a report on the votes cast for or against the amendment
hereby enacted at any Referendum thereon, and the effective date of the
Charter amendment.

This Resolution passed this 10th day of June, 1968.

The Charter amendment enacted by the aforegoing Resolution became
effective this 30th day of July, 1968.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, That the aforegoing Resolution, amending
the Charter of the City of Cumberland, Maryland, was passed this 10th
day of June, 1968, with three votes in the affirmative and one vote in the
negative.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, That the aforegoing is a true and exact copy
of Charter Amendment Resolution No. 32, passed by the Mayor and City
Council of Cumberland, Maryland, in Regular Session, on June 10, 1968.

I FURTHER CERTIFY, That there was no Petition for a Referendum
on the proposed amendment filed within the required time and, therefore,
the same became effective on July 30,1968.

Charter Amendment Resolution No. 33

Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland,
adopted pursuant to the authority contained in Article 11-E of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled "Municipal Corpora-
tions," as said section was enacted by Chapter 423 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, 1955, entitled "A Resolution to repeal
and reenact Section 76 of the Charter of the City of Cumberland,
Maryland (1966 Edition), which is found under the subtitle 'Crimes
and Penalties' and prohibits the dumping of debris in certain streams
of water."

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUN-
CIL OF CUMBERLAND, MARYLAND, That Section 76 of the Charter
of the City of Cumberland (1966 Edition), under the subtitle "Crimes and
Penalties," be and is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
