1892                              MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, as soon as the
Charter amendment hereby enacted shall become effective, either as herein
provided or in due course of law following a referendum, said Chairman
shall send separately by registered mail to the Secretary of State of Mary-
land, and to the Department of Legislative Reference of Maryland, a clear
certified copy of the text of the Section of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County, as revised by the amendment hereby enacted, and a
certified copy of this Resolution showing the number of Commissioners
voting for and against it, and a report on the votes cast for or against the
amendment hereby enacted at any Referendum thereon and the date of
such Referendum.

The above Charter amendment was proposed and enacted by the fore-
going Resolution which was passed at a regular meeting of the Commis-
sioners of the Town of Bel Air, three (3) Commissioners voting in the
affirmative and one (1) Commissioner voting in the negative, and said
Resolution became effective in accordance with law on the 12th day of
November, 1968.

Resolution No. 25

Resolution of the Commissioners of the Town of Bel Air to amend
subsection (b) of Section 105 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County, 1965 Edition, said Code being Article 13 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland and said subsection being a part
of the Charter of the Town of Bel Air, so as to change the qualifica-
tions of persons eligible for election as a Commissioner of the Town of
Bel Air, by requiring that, effective January 1, 1969, a person in
order to be eligible for election as a Commissioner of the Town must be
assessed with at least One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) worth of
real or personal property on the tax books of the Town.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of the Town of
Bel Air that subsection (b) of Section 105 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County, being part of the Town Charter, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:

105. Commissioners; election, term, quorum, meetings.

(b) Elections. The qualified voters of the Town shall hold an elec-
tion on the first Monday of December, 1966, and every two (2) years
thereafter for five (5) Commissioners, in the manner hereinafter
provided; with the proviso that five (5) Commissioners shall be elected
on the first Monday of May, 1964 and shall hold office until the 31st day of
December, 1966. Beginning in the year 1967, the terms of the said Com-
missioners shall begin on the first day of January of the year following
their election and shall end on the second next succeeding 31st day of
December, or until their successors are elected and qualified. No person
shall be eligible for election as a Commissioner of Bel Air unless he
[shall have resided in the Town for at least one (1) year immediately
preceding his election and] shall be a quali
