The above Charter amendment was proposed and enacted by the
foregoing Resolution which was passed at a regular meeting of the Com-
missioners of the Town of Bel Air, four (4) Commissioners voting in the
affirmative and one (1) Commissioners voting in the negative, and said
Resolution became effective in accordance with law on the 1st day of
October, 1968.

Resolution No. 24
Resolution of the Commissioners of the Town of Bel Air to amend
Section 105 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County,
1965 Edition, said Code being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and said section being a part of the Charter
of the Town of Bel Air, so as to add subsection (e) thereto providing
for the allowance of salaries to the Commissioners of Bel Air and
making this amendment first effective as to those Commissioners hold-
ing office on or after the 1st day of January, 1969.
Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of the Town of
Bel Air that Section 105 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County, being part of the Town Charter, be and the same are hereby
amended to add subsection (e) thereto to read as follows:
105. Commissioners; election, term, quorum, meetings.

(e) Beginning with the calendar year 1969, each Commissioner
except the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners shall be allowed a
salary of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) per annum, and the Chairman of
the Board of Commissioners shall be allowed a salary of Nine Hundred
Dollars ($900.00) per annum.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Commissioners
of the Town of Bel Air that the date of adoption of this Resolution is the
23rd day of September, 1968, and the amendment of the Charter of the
Town of Bel Air hereby enacted shall become effective on the 12th day
of November, 1968, unless a proper Petition for a referendum hereon shall
be filed as permitted by law, provided, that a complete and exact copy of
this Resolution shall be continuously posted on the bulletin board at the
Town Office until the 2nd day of November, 1968; and provided further
that a copy of the title of this Resolution shall be published in a newspaper
of general circulation in the Town of Bel Air, once in each of the four
successive weeks hereafter.
Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman
of the Commissioners is hereby specifically enjoined to carry out the
provisions of Section 2 hereof, and as evidence of such compliance, the said
Chairman shall cause to be affixed to the minutes of this meeting ap-
propriate certificates of publication of the newspaper or newspapers in
which the title of this Resolution shall have been published, and shall
declare the Charter amendment hereby enacted to be effective by affixing
his signature hereto in the space provided on the effective date of such
amendment.
