title "Circuit Court," to be under the new subheading "Secretary
to Judge," to follow immediately after Section 7 thereof, and to
provide for a secretary for the resident Circuit Court judge of
Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 7A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Somerset County (1963 Edition, being Article 20 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Somerset County,"
subtitle "Circuit Court," to follow immediately after Section 7 there-
of, to be under the new subheading "Secretary to Judge," and to read
as follows:

Secretary to Judge
7A.

The resident circuit court judge of Somerset County may employ
a secretary, who shall be paid such salary as designated by the
County Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 59
(House Bill 805)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1961 Edition, being
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Cecil County," subtitle "Auctions," increasing the Cecil County
license fees for auctioneers.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "Auctions," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as
follows:

4.

Each applicant for such a license shall pay the yearly sum of
[Five] Twenty-five Dollars [($5.00)] ($25.00) if he be a resident
of said county; the sum of [Fifteen] Fifty Dollars [($15.00)]
($50.00) if he be a resident of the State outside of said county; and
the sum of [Twenty-five] One-Hundred Dollars [($25.00)]
($100.00) if he be not a resident of the State, and no license shall be
issued by said Clerk of the County Court to any such person until
the aforesaid license fee has been paid and until such person has
made oath as to his place of residence.
