in favor of adoption of Chapter 515 of the Acts of 1968, and 1,084
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 515 of the Acts of 1968,
the said Act has therefore failed of ratification.

I, C. Stanley Blair, Secretary Of State Of The State Of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 23-11 (c)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition),
Do Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 5, 1968, an Act known as Chapter 596 of the
Acts of 1968, was submitted to the voters of Dorchester County,
Maryland, under the provisions of Chapter 596 of the Acts of 1968,
said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add new Section 714C to Article 66C of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and
1967 Supplement), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Oys-
ters and Clams"; AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT,
WITH AMENDMENTS, SECTION 715 (A) OF SAID ARTI-
CLE, TITLE AND SUBTITLE OF SAID CODE, to authorize
and regulate the taking of soft-shell clams by hydraulic
dredges in Dorchester County, AND PROVISIONS FOR
LOCAL REFERENDUM IN SAID COUNTY."
and I do certify, that at said election 4,666 votes were cast
in favor of adoption of Chapter 596 of the Acts of 1968 and 1,054
votes were cast against adoption of said Chapter 596 of the Acts of
1968, the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the
qualified voters of Dorchester County.
