(House Bill 618)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 491(e)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edi-
tion, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Harford County," subtitle "Taxes and County Treas-
urer," to increase the allowance for a contingency fund in the
Harford County Budget.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 491(e) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Taxes
and County Treasurer," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(e) A list of all other anticipated expenses, including a proper
allowance for a contingent fund, not exceeding [$25,000.00]
$100,000.00 per year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 518(a) of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Harford County," subtitle "Taxes and County Treasurer,"
last amended by Chapter 477 of the Acts of 1967; to increase the
tax anticipation borrowing powers of the Board of County Com-
missioners of Harford County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 518(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Taxes
and County Treasurer," last amended by Chapter 477 of the Acts of
1967, be and it is hereby repealed, and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

(a) Whenever the amount of taxes collected or of the funds
available from taxes collected shall be insufficient to meet current
expenses and current obligations of Harford County and, in the
