Whereas, Nursing students at Towson State and Morgan State
Colleges would be able to receive excellent practical training in assist-
ing the medical practitioners at nearby Greater Baltimore Medical
Center, St. Joseph's and Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospitals; now,
therefore, be it
Resolved, That the General Assembly of Maryland requests the
Board of Trustees of the State Colleges to consider establishing four-
year nursing courses at Towson State and Morgan State Colleges;
and be it further
Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Presidents
of Towson State and Morgan State Colleges, and to every member of
the Board of Trustees of the State Colleges.

(House Joint Resolution 66)
House Joint Resolution requesting the continuation of the Legisla-
tive Council's Committee on Tourism.
Whereas, Maryland has a tremendous tourism potential but un-
fortunately has not lived up to this potential; and
Whereas, There are several regions of the State which could
achieve an enormous benefit from increasing their investments and
activities in the area of tourism and recreation; and
Whereas, The State of Maryland has lagged far behind in the
development of her tourist industry despite the fact that her neigh-
boring states are among the leaders in this very competitive field;
and
Whereas, There are innumerable current reports which deserve
study and as there will be much more activity within this State as
Maryland progresses; and
Whereas, It is extremely important for the Legislature to be kept
currently informed of the various aspects of the State's growth in
the field of tourism; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Legisla-
tive Council is hereby urged and requested to appoint another
Legislative Council Committee on Tourism to continue and expand
the work of its former committees on tourism; and be it further
Resolved, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the Chairman
and Secretary of the Legislative Council.
