Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of paying
the interest on said notes, certificates or bonds and for redeeming
the same as they mature, the County Commissioners of Allegany
County shall annually levy such tax upon the assessable property
of said county as may be necessary to pay the annual interest on said
notes, certificates or bonds and to redeem the same as they become
due until all of said notes, certificates or bonds shall have matured
and been redeemed. The taxes so levied shall be collected in the same
manner as other taxes are levied and collected in said county.

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 760
(House Bill 1336)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 157 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Health," subtitle "State Board of Veterinary
Examiners," fixing the responsibility of the State's Attorney to
prosecute violations under this subtitle.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 157 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle "State Board
of Veterinary Examiners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:

157.

Any person violating the provisions of this subtitle or any of the
rules and regulations adopted by the Board pursuant to this subtitle,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, be
fined fifty dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days or both,
for the first offense and not less than one hundred dollars nor more
than five hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than ninety days
or both for the second and each succeeding offense. It shall be the
responsibility of the State's Attorney in whatever jurisdiction offenses
occur to prosecute all such offenses under this subtitle.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
