which may be levied by any county or incorporated city or town
need not be the same as that imposed by the State. Provided, how-
ever, that this subsection shall not be applicable in Baltimore,
Frederick, Montgomery, Calvert, Allegany, Worcester, Washington,
Somerset or Dorchester counties or to any municipalities located in
said counties £; and this subsection is not applicable to the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore].

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 756
(House Bill 1289)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 387C(b)
(1) (II) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965
Replacement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title "Health," sub-
title "Water, Ice and Sewerage," to change the procedure for the
submission for the water and sewerage county plans prepared by
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission to Montgomery
and Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 387C(b) (1) (II) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title
"Health," subtitle "Water, Ice and Sewerage," be and is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(II) In Prince George's and Montgomery counties the governing
bodies shall respectively establish the goals, purposes and concepts
that each desires to serve as a basis for the plans for its county
which are required by this section and transmit the same not later
than May 1, 1968, and with annual revisions on the first day of May
JULY, 1970 and on the first day of May JULY in each year thereafter,
to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Cammission COMMISSION,
directing the said Commission to immediately prepare and coordinate
with the governing bodies the water and sewerage county plans and
all revisions and amendments thereto, which are rquired REQUIRED
by or provided for in this section and all of such revisions, plans
and amendments shall be submitted by the said Washington Sub-
urban Sanitary Commission to the respective governing bodies
not later than [August 15, 1969] February, 15, 1970 OCTO-
BER 15, 1969 and annually thereafter no later than October 1st,
for their consideration and action. The governing body of each of the
two mentioned counties shall hold a public hearing on the county
plan, and the annual review thereof, ten days notice of which
shall be given by one publication in a newspaper or newspapers of
general circulation in the respective counties. Where recommen-
