AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 91 (a)
92, and 94(b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Soil Conservation Districts," and to add new paragraph (6) to
subsection 91(d) of said article and title of said Code, to follow
immediately after paragraph (5) of subsection 91(d), adding to
the membership of the State Soil Conservation Committee the Di-
rector of the Department of Chesapeake Bay Affairs and the
Chairman of the Maryland State Agricultural Stabilization and
Conservation Committee, United States Department of Agriculture,
providing for the granting of funds to soil conservation districts,
providing for the revision of soil conservation district boundary
lines, and authorizing soil conservation district supervisors to be
reimbursed for travel expenses and to be paid a per diem allow-
ance as provided from time to time in the State budget.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 91(a) 92, and 94(b) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Re-
sources," subtitle "Soil Conservation Districts," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and new para-
graph (6) be and is hereby added to subsection 91 (d) of said article
and title of said Code, to follow immediately after paragraph (5) of
subsection 91 (d), and all to read as follows:

91.

(a) There is hereby established, in the State Board of Agricul-
ture and the Regents of the University of Maryland, to serve as
an agency of the State and to perform the functions conferred upon
it in this subheading, the State Soil Conservation Committee. The
following shall serve as members of the Committee: The Director
of the Maryland Experiment Station, the Director of the Maryland
Agricultural Extension Service, the Director of the Maryland De-
partment of State Forests and Parks, the chairman of the State
Board of Agriculture, or other member of the Board he may desig-
nate, the dean of agriculture of the University of Maryland, the Di-
rector of the Department of Game and Inland Fish, the Director of
the Department of Water Resources, The Director of the Department
of Chesapeake Bay Affairs, the Chairman of the Maryland State
Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, United
States Department of Agriculture, the president of the Maryland as-
sociation of soil conservation districts, three soil conservation district
supervisors representing different geographic areas of the State from
soil conservation districts organized in Maryland according to the
provisions of this subheading, each of whom is to serve for a term of
one year, to be appointed by the State Board of Agriculture, and the
principal administrative officer for Maryland of the Soil Conservation
Service, United States Department of Agriculture. Of the three soil
