and stock of the applicant due to the City of
Baltimore or the State
of Maryland.]

(J) IN BALTIMORE CITY, UNLESS A LICENSEE PRE-
SENTS TO THE BOARD OF LIQUOR LICENSE COMMISSION-
ERS BY JUNE 30 OF THE RESPECTIVE YEAR, A CERTIFI-
CATE ISSUED BY THE BUREAU OF ASSESSMENTS,
SHOWING THAT THERE ARE NO UNPAID TAXES ON THE
MERCHANDISE, FIXTURES AND STOCK OF THE APPLI-
CANT DUE TO THE CITY OF BALTIMORE OR THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, HIS RENEWAL LICENSE SHALL BE IMMEDI-
ATELY SUSPENDED WITHOUT A HEARING BUT THERE-
AFTER SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED WITHOUT A
HEARING UPON PRESENTATION OF SUCH A CERTIFICATE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immedi-
ate preservation of the public health and safety and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two houses of the General Assem-
bly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 14
(House Bill 250)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 112(g)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game
and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Title and Definitions," to pro-
vide that the buzzard not be an unprotected bird.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 112(g) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Title and Def-
initions," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

112.

(g) The term "unprotected birds" shall include: (a) the English
sparrow; (b) the European starling; (c) [the buzzard; (d)] the
crow.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
