Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (t) (1) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorneys," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

40.

(t) In Somerset County, (1) the State's Attorney's salary is
[twenty-four hundred dollars ($2,400] six thousand dollars ($6,000).

Sec. 2. The provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the State's Attorney in office on the effective date of this
Act, but these provisions shall take effect with the beginning of the
next term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 60(a) of

Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement),
"title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Procedure for Issue of Li-

censes," and to repeal Section 68(j) of said Article, subtitle "Re-

newal of Licenses," amending the alcoholic beverage laws in order
to eliminate certain requirements for the issue and renewal of
alcoholic beverage licenses in Baltimore City.

AN ACT TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS,
SECTION 68(J) OF ARTICLE 2B OF THE ANNOTATED
CODE OF MARYLAND (1968 SUPPLEMENT), TITLE "AL-
COHOLIC BEVERAGES," SUBTITLE "RENEWAL OF LI-
CENSES," AMENDING THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
LAWS IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE CERTAIN REQUIRE-
MENTS FOR THE RENEWAL OF ALCOHOLIC BEVER-
AGE LICENSES IN BALTIMORE CITY.
