(b) The Department of Legislative Reference shall compile and
maintain a current list of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (includ-
ing amendments and additions thereto). Said list shall be accessible
to the members of the General Assembly at all times; and prior to
each Legislative Session, each county delegation and each Senator
shall be provided with such a current list of the Public Local Laws
of his respective county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969

CHAPTER 544
(House Bill 1337)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51 (s) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "County Treas-
urers," INCREASING THE SALARY OF THE TALBOT
COUNTY TREASURER, prohibiting the Talbot County Treasurer
from receiving additional compensation from the State, County
or any local government; requiring said Treasurer to meet with
and advise the Commissioners of Talbot County upon their request;
and matters generally related thereto; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ACT SHALL NOT APPLY TO THE INCUMBENT
COUNTY TREASURER.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51 (s) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume), title "County Commissioners," subtitle
"County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

51.

(s) The County treasurer of Talbot County shall receive an
annual salary of $3,500 $7,000 $5,000; he shall receive no additional
compensation from the State, County, or any local government. The
treasurer shall meet with and advise the Commissioners of Talbot
County, upon their request, and shall inform them of the fiscal
status and fiscal affairs of said county as said Commissioners, in
their discretion, may deem advisable.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THE PROVI-
SIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED TO EX-
TEND OR APPLY TO THE COUNTY TREASURER OF TALBOT
COUNTY IN OFFICE ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
ACT, BUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL TAKE
EFFECT WITH THE NEXT TERM OF OFFICE.

Sec. 2 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
