judge of said court shall receive a salary of [$21,500,001 $25,500.00
per year and each of the [three] associate judges thereof shall
receive a salary of [$21,000.00] $25,000.00 per year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 540
(House Bill 1313)

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District,
repealing and re-enacting, with amendments, subsection (d) of
Section 83-57 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1963 Edition), being also subsection (d) of Section 71-4
of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being Articles
17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County,"
both subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," as the
said subsection was last repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
by Chapter 628 of the Acts of 1968, providing for a new schedule
of compensation of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission whose terms of
office commence on June 1, 1969 or thereafter.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subsection (d) of Section 83-57 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1963 Edition), being also Section 71-4
of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), and being Articles
17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District," as the same was last
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, by Chapter 628 of the
Acts of 1968, be and it is repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

83-57. (71-4).

(d) Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman; compensation of
members. With respect to the chairman, vice-chairman and commis-
sioners who commenced their terms in such offices prior to June 1,
1969,
[T] the annual salary of the chairman of the Commission shall
be forty-eight hundred dollars ($4,800.00); of the vice-chairman,
forty-five hundred dollars ($4,500.00); and of the other members of
the Commission forty-two hundred dollars ($4,200.00), all payable
bi-weekly [.] , and for the chairman, vice-chairman and other mem-
bers of the Commission who, respectively, commence such term of
office on June 1, 1969, or thereafter, whether by first appointment
or election or re-appointment or re-election as elsewhere provided for
in this Section, the respective salaries shall be seven thousand five
hundred dollars ($7,500.00)
SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($6,700.00), seven thousand two hundred dollars
($7,200.00)
SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS
