Assembly of 1965, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(F) (3-1) General Smallwood Historic Site:

Paving of access road and parking area, ex-
pansion of water supply and distribution sys-
tem; construction of comfort station, [and]
shop and storage building, office and informa-
tion center and site improvements......................$200,000

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 526
(House Bill 1141)

AN ACT to waive the provision of Section 9 of Chapter 743 of the
Acts of 1965, said section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1965 must be
placed under contract, insofar as the provisions of said section
relate to an item contained in said Act for Morgan State College
relating to construction of a wing to Military Science Building to
provide rifle range, and to extend for two more years the period
during which the said item may be placed under contract, one
two-year extension having been granted by Chapter 627 of the
Acts of 1967.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 9 of Chapter 743 of the Acts of
1965 be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time
for placing under contract an item, Section 5(M) (3), in said Chapter
743 and found on Page 1113 of the Laws of 1965, making available
to Morgan State College the sum of $150,000 for the construction
of a wing to Military Science Building to provide rifle range. One
two-year extension, which expires June 1, 1969, was granted by
Chapter 627 of the Acts of 1967. There shall be allowed an addi-
ditional period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this
Act, for placing this project under contract. If this project shall
not have been placed under contract within a period of two years
beginning on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be deemed
to have been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 9 of
Chapter 743 of the Acts of 1965 shall be fully effective as to this
project.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
