This Bill bindeth me John Jenners of Somerset County Planter my

Heirs Extors & Admrs to pay or Cause to be paid unto Livin Denwood

of the Same County his Heirs or Assigns the full & entire Quantity of

nine hundred Sixty three pounds of Merchantable Porke at his now

dwelling plantation as Witness my hand & Seal this ye 13th day of

May 1695 .                                        his

     The Decl being Read the Bill produced & the Writt returned

     N.E.Inventus the plts Attorney Craved an Attachmt agt

     the goods & Chattels of the sd James which by the Court was granted

     with Cost &ca the plt giving Security according to Law. whereupon

Came Saml Worthington & in Open Court did Confess himself Security

& to be indebted to the Dfendt Jenner ye Sum of tenn pounds Sterling

with Condicon that if the sd Jenner should come wthin a Twelvemonth

& a day & plead in Barr any way to discount the former debt or any

part thereof paid that then he the sd Worthington would be as ye

Law in Such Cases responsible to ye Dft &a. Attachmt issued

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~           was attached to answer unto Wm Henry

of the Same County Mercht of a plea of trespass of the Case &ca

And whereupon the sd William pr Sam Worthington his Attorney

Comes & Saith that on or about the first day of ffebry in the year

of our Lord 1693/4. at Nusswaddux within the Jurisdiction of

this Court the sd John became indebted unto the sd William

in the just Sum of Six hundred fifty five pounds of Porke being

the balance of a Certaine accot here in Court produced appears

& the sd John being indebted in manner as afd, did upon him

Self assume & faithfully promise that the aforesd Sum of Porke

he would well & truely Content & pay when there unto required

Nevertheless the sd John the sd Sum of Porke to the sd Wm hath

not paid though often thereunto required but the Same to doe hath

refused to ye damage of the sd Wm of thirteen hundred pounds of

like Porke & thereupon he brings this Sute &ca.
