Then Philip Breedy this day made his appearance before y^e Court

& did openly Confess according to y^e Charge laid agt him in y^e sd Warts

& thereupon the Court Orders the sd Breedy to pay to John Kellam four

fold viz 20^S: But he the sd Kellam appearing having recd of sd Breedy

5^S is therewith contented as in Court acknowledged which being

Considered is by the Court Ordered that the sheriff of the County take into

Custody Philip Breedy afd and that he give him five lashes on his

bare back laid on well w^ch was p^r sheriff executed Ordered that the sd

Philip give Security for Sheriffs & Clks fees.

        Where upon Came John Dennis & did assume to pay y^e Principal

       debt (viz) 5^S and Cost of Sute &ca.

                            Courts adjourned

              And at Court held at Deviding Creek by his Maties

              Justices of the Peace for y^e County of Somerset in the

              Province of Maryland the 22^th day of 8ber an^o 1695

County of Somerset to Serve in Assembly &ca. as p^r Indenture
