The Condicon of the above sd Bond is as followeth vizt The Condicon of the above Obligation is Such that if the above bound John Johnson shall well & truely pay or cause to be paid unto the abovesd David Browne or his Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns the just quantity of one thousand three hundred fourty & two pound of good Sound Mertable leaf tobacco at the time & place afd then this prsent Obligation to be void & of none effect otherwayes to Stand & remaine in full force power & Vertue. Pirrie pr Quer pledgs prsec Jno Doe Rich Roe } Maryland Ss Know all Men by these prsents that J Johnson of Jericho of Somerset County am holden & firmly bound unto David Browne of the afd County in the full & just quantity of two thousand Six hundred eighty & four pounds of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobacco in Caske to contain the Same to be paid unto the Said David Browne or his Heirs Extors Admrs & Assigns Convenient at Jericho afd before the last of 9ber next the which paymt well & truely to be made I bind my Self my Heirs Extors & Admrs firmly by these prsents In Witness whereof I have here unto Sett my hand & Seal this twelvth day of August Anno Domini 1691 =

Wm Grayer Plt Richard Warren of Somerset County Planter Richd Warren Dft } was attached to answer unto Wm Grayer ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ of an accon of the Case. &ca. And whereupon the sd William by Sam Worthington his Attorney Complains that whereas the sd Richard in the year of our Lord 1692 at Snow hill within the Jurisdiction of this Court became indebted unto the sd William the just Sum of twelve hundred pounds of tobacco it being for one horse Sold & delivered to him the sd Richard by him the sd Wm and the said Richard being indebted in manner as afd did upon himself assume & faithfully promise that the afd Sum of tob to the sd William he would well & truely Content & pay when thereunto required Neverthe lesse the sd Richard the sd Sum of tobacco to the Wm hath not paid though often thereunto required for which the sd William Saith he is damnified to the value of 2000 lbs of tobacco & thereupon he brings this Sute &ca.
