Alexander Killock Plt Somerset Ss. Jame Walker James Walker Dfendt } of this County Planter was ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ attached to answer unto Alexr Killock of the Same County in a plea of trespass on the Case. And whereupon the sd Alexander by Saml Alexander his Attorney Saith that whereas the sd James ye 9th day of Janry in the year of or Lord 1693/4 at Monocan within the Jurisdiction of this Court did bind himself his Heirs or Assigns to pay or Cause to be paid unto the sd Alexander ye just & full Sum of four hundred pounds of good Sound Mertable tobacco in Caske upon demand as by his Certain writing obligatory which the sd Alexander bringeth here into Court Signed by the Same may appear but he the sd James ye sd Writeing not regarding the sd Sum of four hundred pounds of tob to the sd Alexander hath not paid although often demanded but the same to doe hath hitherto refused & doth Still refuse to ye damage of the sd Alexander of 800 lib of tobacco & thereof he brings his Sute.
