Came William Coulbourn & made Oath upon the holy Evangelist that he Se the abovesd Henry Smith Seal Sign & deliver the abovesd as Witness our hands ffra Jenckins John King ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Stephen Horsey ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ James Duncan made Oath before mr Samuel Hopkins that he attended Seven dayes as Evidence for Wm Greer agt Richd Warren sworn the 8th of ffebry ano Domy 1695/6. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ordered by this Court that James Knox forthwith repaire & mend Monokin Bridge according to Agreement had & made with mr Ephraim Wilson. &ca. Tuesday in March as pr Act &ca. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ At a Court held for the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland by his Matyes Justices of ye Peace at Deviding Creek the 10th day of March . ano Dom 1695/6 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Comrs prsent// mr ffra. Jenckins, mr Tho. Dixon, mr Matt Scarbrough mr Geo.Layfield. mr Tho: Newbold. mr Sam Hopkins, mr John King & mr Stephen Horsey. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Court being Calld Tho sheriff of the County made return of his Venire and a List or panel of the Grand Jury were returned as follows (viz) Richd Chambers, Wm Parker, Henry Hudson, Char Nicholson, Leonard Jones Senior , Donnam Olondman, Richd Carey Robert Johnson, William Dixon, John Powell, Wm Powell, Walter Evans, Afra Dozi Johnson , Robert Polke Senr, John Blizard, Arch: Smith, Adam Spence, Tho Quillain, Leo Jones Junr, Thomas Bromley, & four more were returnd Sumoned, but gave reasons by others for their non appearance which was excused, which Said Grand Jury being legally Sumoned & returned, was then Sworn upon the holy Evangelists, and having had the whole charge read unto them were by the Court Sent forth to Consult &ca. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Corroners & Constables were likewise Calld. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ His Matie. The sd Mary being prsented for having a Basterd agt } Chils, this day appeared & Confest the fact and Said Mary ffillpott that Ralph Holston was the father of her sd Basterd Child whereupon it was Ordered that Process issue agt.
