Stevens deceased of a plea of Trespass on the Case &ca. - - - - - - -

And whereupon the sd George and Elizabeth by Sam Worthington their

Attorney Complains that whereas the sd Robert Howard on or

about the tenth day of June an^o Domi 1687 at Pocomoke within

the Jurisdiction became indebted unto Co^ll Wm Stevens in his -

lifetime, in the just Sum of two thousand Six hundred Sixty and

three pounds of tobacco it being for sundry goods & Merchandizes

by the sd Wm in his life time to the sd Rob^t Sold & delivered as p^r

a perticuler acco^t hereunto amexed doth appear, and the sd Robert

to the sd Wm in manner afd being indebted did assume upon himself

& faithfully promise that the sd Sum of tobacco to the sd William

he would well & truely Content & pay nevertheless the sd Robert

the sd Sum of tobacco to the sd Wm in his life time he hath not paid

nor to the sd Eliz. Since the intermarrying of them nor to any of them

to the damage of the sd George and Elizabeth, of three thousand pounds

of tobacco & thereof they bring this Sute &ca              Jn^o Doe
