117.    Same—Issuance of commission and badge; revocation of
appointment.

The Director shall issue to each person so appointed as [game
warden] Wildlife Officer a commission and badge stating ["non-
salaried deputy game warden" or "salaried game warden"] "Wild-
life Officer" or "Deputy Wildlife Officer"
and transmit such commis-
sion to the clerk's office of the circuit court for the county in which
said [game warden] Wildlife Officer so appointed has his legal resi-
dence, or to the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore
City, if residing in Baltimore City, and may revoke and annul any
such appointment at any time he may desire; but in the case of those
persons under the merit system on June 1, 1943, only in accordance
with the provisions of Article 64A of the Code.

118.    Law enforcement powers of Director and other personnel;
impersonating employee of Department.

(c) (B) No persons shall willfully fail or refuse to comply with
any lawful or reasonable order or direction of any Wildlife Officer or
other peace officer in connection with the enforcement of any pro-
visions of law required to be enforced by the Director and salaried
law enforcement personnel of the Department of Game and Inland
Fish.

(C) IMPERSONATING EMPLOYEE OF DEPARTMENT UN-
LAWFUL; PENALTY.—IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL FOR ANY
PERSON TO FALSELY REPRESENT HIMSELF AS BEING AN
EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND INLAND
FISH OF MARYLAND, WITH FRAUDULENT DESIGN UPON
PERSON OR PROPERTY, OR TO HAVE, USE, WEAR OR DIS-
PLAY, WITHOUT AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND INLAND FISH, ANY UNIFORM,
SHIELD, BUTTON, ORNAMENT, OR SHOULDER PATCH OF
THE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND INLAND FISH, OR TO
HAVE ANY SIMULATION OR IMITATIONS OF SUCH ARTI-
CLES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DECEPTION.

ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUB-
SECTION SHALL BE GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND
UPON CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A
FINE OF NOT MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($100.00) AND COSTS, OR TO IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE
THAN SIX MONTHS, OR TO BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRIS-
ONMENT, IN THE DISCRETION OF THE COURT.

119.    Same—Wearing badge and return on termination of
Commission.

The Director and [game wardens] Wildlife Officers shall, when
acting in their official capacity, except when on detective duty, wear
in plain view a metallic badge with the words "Director" or [game
warden] "Wildlife Officer" as the case may be, inscribed thereon, as
furnished by the Director of this State. The metallic shield or badge
provided for in this section is hereby declared to be the property of
the State, and upon the termination of a commission of any [game
warden] Wildlife Officer he shall forthwith return the said shield or
badge and commission to the Director. In case of the failure of said
