78.

In conjunction with AS A PART OF the Comprehensive Water
Pollution Control Program, the State Department of Health and the
Department of Water Resources may cooperate with appropriate
agencies for the training of technical and associate level personnel
as may be needed in the area of water pollution control. For the
purpose of this section, the Health Department with the approval of
the Department of Water Resources may enter into contracts with
appropriate institutions of higher learning or appropriate agencies
to develop the needed curricula and to support training courses. For
the purpose of this section, an annual appropriation is authorized,
in such amount as provided in the Budget from time to time
IN THE
BUDGET OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

In conjunction with AS A PART OF the Comprehensive Water
Pollution Control Program, the Department of Water Resources and
the State Department of Health may conduct studies, surveys, investi-
gations, research and analyses, and may engage consultants to accom-
plish the purposes of this subtitle.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That a new Section 9 (64)

be and it is hereby added to Article 81 of said code (1965 Replace-

ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-
title "What Shall Be Taxed and Where," to follow immediately after

Section 9 (63) thereof and that a new Section 326(aa) be and it is

hereby added to said Article 81 (1965 Replacement Volume), sub-

title "Retail Sales Tax Act," to follow immediately after Section 326
(z) thereof, and all to read as follows.

(64) Real and personal property used exclusively for an indus-

trial or commercial waste treatment facility for which a permit has

been issued by the Department of Water Resources. This subsection
is part of the Comprehensive Water Pollution Control Program.

(aa) Sales of materials and equipment purchased exclusively
for use in any industrial or commercial waste treatment facility

for which a permit has been issued by the Department of Water

Resources. This subsection is part of the Comprehensive Water Pol-
lution Control Program.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
