"Public Defender" as added by Chapter 623 of the Acts of 1966
and to enact a new Section 461D in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the section repealed, to provide for the appointment and
compensation of assistants and staff personnel for the public
defender of Harford County and to provide for the office and
equipment of the public defender.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 461D of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County" subtitle "Public De-
fender" as added by Chapter 623 of the Acts of 1966 be and it is
hereby repealed and that new Section 461D be and it is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed,
and to read as follows:
461D.
(a) The public defender may appoint such number of assistants
and other staff personnel as may be approved by the Board of County
Commissioners and the judges of the Circuit Court for Harford
County. All such appointees shall serve at the pleasure of the public
defender, and shall receive the salaries and compensation approved
from time to time by the County Commissioners.
(b) The County Commissioners shall provide the facilities,
office space and equipment necessary for the conduct of the office of
public defender at the expense of the county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 226 (b)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Harford County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to
remove obsolete language from the law specifying the composition
and members of the Board of Parks and Recreation in Harford
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 226 (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

(b) The Board shall consist of seven members, appointed by the
