CHAPTER 408
(House Bill 1335)

AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners of Worcester County
to sell certain county owned land to the Mayor and City Council
of Ocean City.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Worcester County are authorized
to sell all those lots, pieces or parcels of land and improvements
thereon situated and lying on the westerly side of North Baltimore
Avenue in the town of Ocean City, in the tenth election district of
Worcester County, which are designated and distinguished as lots
numbered seven, eight and, nine AND TEN AND ALL THOSE
LOTS, PIECES, OR PARCELS OF LAND SITUATE AND LYING
ON THE EASTERLY SIDE OF PHILADELPHIA AVENUE IN
SAID TOWN AND ELECTION DISTRICT OF SAID COUNTY
DESIGNATED AS LOTS NUMBERED THREE, FOUR, FIVE,
AND SIX in book BLOCK numbered seventeen north on the plat
entitled "Plat of the Property of the Synepuxent Beach Com-
pany of Baltimore City" recorded among the land records of Worces-
ter County in Liber F.H.P. No. 1 folio 550, a copy being in
plat book O.D.C. No. 2 folio 13, to the Mayor and City Council of
Ocean City at a price of not less than ninety thousand dollars ($90,-
000.00) and at such terms as the County Commissioners may desig-
nate.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 409
(House Bill 1340)

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 504 of the
Acts of 1966, said section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1966 must be
placed under contract insofar as the provisions of said Section
relate to the item in Section 5(G) (7) in said Construction Loan
Act, which provides certain monies for the construction of Rec-
reation Facilities in The Martinak Recreation Area.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10, Chapter 504 of the Acts of
1966 be and they are hereby waived, insofar as they impose a time
for placing under contract the items in Section 5(G)(7) in said
Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966, making available two hundred
thousand dollars ($200,000) for construction of a marina, beach,
parking, sanitary facilities and extension of utilities in The Martinak
Recreation Area. With the waiver of these provisions so applied
to this item, there shall be allowed an additional period of two years,
beginning on the effective date of this Act, for placing these projects
