Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall expire auto-
matically on July 1, 1969, without further action on the part of the
General Assembly and shall be null and void after said date.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is contingent upon
the passage of the proposed Maryland Constitution by the voters of
this State at the election to be held on May 14, 1968.
Sec 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act, subject to the
provisions of Section 3, shall take effect July 1, 1968.

(House Bill 1334)
AN ACT to add new Section 135D to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition and 1965 Supplement),
being Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Worcester County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to
follow immediately after Section 135C thereof, to authorize the
County Commissioners of Worcester County to appoint a Gov-
ernmental Study Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 135D be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition and 1965
Supplement), being Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Worcester County," subtitle "County Commis-
sioners," to follow immediately after Section 135C thereof, and to
read as follows:
135D.
The County Commissioners may appoint a Worcester County Gov-
ernmental Study Commission to study and make recommendations
concerning the structure or form of the government of Worcester
County. The appointment shall be made with the approval of the
resident member of the House of Delegates and the County Com-
missioners and the resident member of the House of Delegates shall
be ex-officio member of the Commission. The Commission shall
have such powers and duties as designated by the County Com-
missioners and the County Commissioners may provide the Com-
mission with such assistance and funds as may be required to enable
the Commission to carry out its designated duties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is contingent upon
the defeat of the proposed Maryland Constitution by the voters of
this State at the election to be held on May 14, 1968.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act, subject to the
provisions of Section 2, shall be effective July 1, 1968.
