CHAPTER 401
(House Bill 1324)
AN ACT to appoint a Commission to study the question as to
whether Calvert County should adopt a charter form of govern-
ment, or whether other changes should be made in the present
form of government, naming the members of the Commission
and providing funds for expenses of said Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That there shall be appointed in Calvert County, a Commission to
study the question of whether there should be a charter form of
government proposed for Calvert County, and if the Commission
decides in the negative, what, if any, changes should be made in
the present form of government.
The Commission shall consist of the following members:
Edward T. Hall, Robert M. Wison WILSON, Robert W. Benner,
Edward C. Gates, Stanley Clabaugh, Frederick M. Hinshaw, J. Frank
Boyd, David A. Harkness, Allen S. Handen, Murray V. Watson,
John W. Williams, Jr., Harold A. Crane, Edwin A. Bedell, Mrs.
Marquess Ray, Mrs. John Prouty, Claude J I. Owings, and Robert
Bourne.
The Commission shall elect its own Chairman, and shall organize
as soon as practicable. Its report shall be made by October 15th,
1968 to the County Commissioners, the State Senator, the Members of
the House of Delegates, and the people of Calvert County.
The County Commissioners shall make funds available to cover
the necessary expenses of the Commission, including secretarial
service.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

Laws of Cecil County (1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle
