to follow immediately after Section 489 thereof, and to read as
follows :
490.
Notwithstanding any provision of a policy of accident insurance,
sickness insurance, health insurance, accident and sickness insurance,
disability insurance, group health insurance, group accident insur-
ance, group health and accident insurance or blanket health insur-
ance, whenever such policy provides for reimbursement for any
podiatrical service which is within the lawful scope of practice of a
duly licensed podiatrist, the insured, or any other person covered
under such policy, shall be entitled to reimbursement for such service,
whether the said, service is performed by a doctor of medicine or a
duly licensed podiatrist.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 606 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Supplement),
title "Health," subtitle "Physical Therapy," amending the laws
concerning the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners in
order to change the membership of this Board, and relating gener-
ally to the details and procedure for this change.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 606 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Supplement), title "Health," subtitle "Physical Therapy," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
606.
The State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners as it existed prior
to June 1, [1966] 1968 is hereby continued, except that on and after
this date, the Board shall consist of [seven] five members. [The five
members of the Board serving on June 1, 1966 shall be continued in
office until the expiration of their terms. The two additional members
added to the Board on June 1, 1966 shall be initially appointed by the
Governor, one for a term of three years and the other for a term of
five years, and thereafter these terms shall be for five years. The two
additional members initially appointed and thereafter at all times
two] Three members of the Board shall be physical therapists who are
licensed to practice physical therapy under this subtitle and who are
actively engaged in physical therapy in the State. [At all times five]
Two members of the Board shall be licensed to practice medicine
under the provisions of this article. Members of the Board shall be
