ALLOWANCE NOT TO EXCEED $50.00 PER MONTH. SAID
SUM TO BE IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR MONTHLY EX-
PENSE ALLOTMENT. ANY SHERIFF WHO IS ASSIGNED A
CITY-OWNED AUTOMOBILE SHALL NOT RECEIVE THE
MONTHLY AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE ALLOTMENT. THEY
SHALL ALSO RECEIVE such assistants at such compensation as
shall be provided for in the annual ordinance of estimates of Balti-
more City. Provision shall also be made in said ordinance for the
expenses of the office of the Sheriff, including the purchase and
maintenance of motor vehicles, and the mayor and city council shall
have the same power with respect to the salaries of the office of
Sheriff as it has under the city charter with respect to the salaries
of all municipal departments.
The mayor and city council shall pay monthly to the Sheriff of
Baltimore City one twelfth of the amount provided in the ordi-
nance of estimates for the expenses of the Sheriff's office. Within
thirty days after December 31st in each and every year the Sheriff
of Baltimore City shall pay to the mayor and city council of Balti-
more any of the unexpended expense funds advanced during the
year preceding said December 31st, and render a detailed account
to the mayor and city council of Baltimore of all expense funds
received and expended by him.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 41 (b-6) to Article 2B of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1967 Cumulative Supple-
ment) to follow immediately after Section 41 (b-5), title, "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "General Provisions on Issue of Licenses," to
provide for the issuance in Baltimore City of more than one Class
B, Beer, Wine and Liquor License to certain bona fide restaurants,
subject to certain restrictions, and relating generally to the sale
of alcoholic beverages in Baltimore City.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 41 (b-6) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, 1967 Cumulative Supplement), title "Al-
coholic Beverages," subtitle "General Provisions on Issue of Li-
censes," be added immediately following (b-5), to read as follows:

(b-6) Baltimore City—Notwithstanding any other provisions of
this Section in Baltimore City, the holder of a Class B, (on sale—
hotels and restaurants) Beer, Wine and Liquor License under this
Article, by making application in the regular manner and paying
the usual fee may obtain an additional Class B, (on sale—hotels and
