SPIRO T. AGNEW, Governor                        375

CHAPTER 321
(House Bill 871)

AN ACT to add a new Section 251A(m) to Article 27 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland, (1967 Replacement Volume), title
"Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Gaming," amending the laws
concerning the playing and operating of certain bingo games in
Worcester County in order to make this law applicable in the Third
Election District of Worcester County and to clarify its applica-
tion in certain other election districts.

Whereas, Section 251A of Article 27 in the Code concerning games
of bingo in Worcester County was enacted by Chapter 266 of the
Acts of 1961, its effect being made contingent upon its being approved
by the voters in individual election districts.

At the special election held in Worcester County on May 23, 1961,
this Act was ratified in the Fifth and Tenth Election Districts but
failed ratification in several other election districts. It now is desir-
able to add a new subsection to this law in order to state the fact
that it applies in the Fifth and Tenth Election Districts and, at the
same time, to insert a provision making this law applicable in another
of the election districts of Worcester County; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 251A (m) be and it is hereby added to Article 27
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1967 Replacement Volume),
title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Gaming," to read as fol-
lows:

251 A.

(m) This section applies in the Third, Fifth and Tenth Election
Districts of Worcester County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

Approved April 10, 1968.

CHAPTER 322
(House Bill 875)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 191(j) of Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Dog Licenses in the Coun-
ties," and to add new Section 194(m) to said Article, title and
subtitle of said Code, to follow immediately after Section 194(1)
thereof, to authorize the County Commissioners of Kent County
to provide for a dog regulation system in that County, and to
provide that the County Commissioners shall set the dog and
kennel license fees.
