340. Repealed.
[A society neglecting to file the annual statement in the form and
within the time provided by this section shall forfeit one hundred
dollars ($100) for each day during which such neglect continues,
and, upon notice by the Commissioner to that effect, its authority
to do business in this State shall cease while such default continues.]
357.
Every corporation subject to the provisions of this subtitle shall
annually, on or before the first day of March, file in the office of the
Commissioner a statement certified to by an independent certified
public accountant, showing its condition on the thirty-first day of
December the next preceding, which shall be in such form and shall
contain such matters as the Commissioner shall prescribe. Failure
to file such a statement shall subject the corporation to the penalties
provided in Section 58 of this Article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

(House Bill 720)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 41 of
Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "The Insurance
Commissioner," increasing the filing fee for insurers from ten
dollars ($10.00) to twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and establishing
a two hundred dollar ($200.00) fee for an original certificate of
authority and increasing the renewal fee from ten dollars
($10.00) to twenty-five dollars ($25.00) AND PROVIDING
GENERALLY FOR FILING FEES FOR INSURERS.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 41 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "The
Insurance Commissioner," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
41.
The Commissioner shall collect in advance, and the persons so
served shall pay the following fees to the Commissioner:
(1) Certificates of authority;
(i) Application for original certificate of authority: For filing
applications for certificate of authority, articles of incorporation (ex-
cept as provided in subsection (2) below) and other charter docu-
ments, bylaws, financial statement, examination report, power of
attorney to the Commissioner, and all other documents and filings
