CHAPTER 261
(House Bill 594)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 32 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett County (1957 Edition, being
Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Circuit Court" to strike out the two non-jury terms of the Circuit
Court (June and December) leaving only two jury terms (March
and September) and to specify the times when said jury terms
shall commence.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 32 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett County
(1957 Edition, being Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Circuit Court" be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

32.

There shall be two jury [and two non-jury] regular common law
terms of the Circuit Court for Garrett County, to be held in Oakland;
the two jury terms shall commence on the second Monday in March
and the second Monday in September respectively in each year; [and
the two non-jury terms shall commence on the first Monday of June
and the first Monday of December, respectively in each year;] and
to said jury terms jurors shall be summoned and returned in the
mode prescribed by law.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25 (h) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume, and 1967 Supplement) title "Juries" subtitle "Qualifica-
tion and Selection of Jurors" to provide for changes in the pay and
mileago allowances for jurors in Calvert and Garrett Counties
AND FOR THE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE OF JURORS IN
GARRETT COUNTY.
