her or its bond as required by this subtitle has been extended prior to
the date of the expiration of such bond shall stand automatically
suspended; and the Commission shall immediately notify such licensee
of such suspension.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 231A 227B to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to follow
immediately after Section 231 227A thereof to provide as unlawful
the practice by any real estate broker, real estate salesman or by
any other person, partnership, association or corporation who, in
offering real property for sale or exchange, posts an outdoor sign or
other advertisement on such property upon which the cost and
capitalization of any ground rent thereon is shown in print of a
size smaller than that used to recite other sales data thereon THE
PRICE OF THE PROPERTY and to provide the penalty for such
unlawful practice.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 231A 227B be and it is hereby added to Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and
1967 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers,"
to follow immediately after Section 231 227A thereof and to read as
follows:
231 A. 227B
(A) It shall be unlawful for any real estate broker, real estate
salesman, or any other person, partnership, association or corporation
engaged in the sale or exchange of an interest or interests in real
estate LICENSEE HEREUNDER to post an outdoor sign or other
advertisement upon the real estate REAL PROPERTY offered for
sale or exchange upon which sign or other advertisement the cost and
capitalization of any ground rent on such property is shown in print
or lettering of a size smaller than that used to recite other sales data
or price thereon. Anyone found in violation of this section by the
Commission shall be subject to a fine of not more than five hundred
Dollars (500).
THE PRICE OF THE REAL PROPERTY.
(B) VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION
BY ANY LICENSEE SHALL BE SUFFICIENT CAUSE FOR THE
SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF SUCH LICENSE, IN THE
DISCRETION OF THE COMMISSION.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
