CHAPTER 251
(House Bill 511)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11-2 (h)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Election Code," sub-
title "Party Governing Bodies," changing the number of members
in the Montgomery County Democratic State central committee
from 15 to the number of members Montgomery County is en-
titled to elect to the House of Delegates of the General Assembly
of Maryland.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11-2(h) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Elec-
tion Code," subtitle "Party Governing Bodies," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
11-2.
(h) In Montgomery County [(1) there shall be fifteen members
of the central committee of the Democratic Party for the county
who shall be elected at large; and (2)] the members of the party
State central committees [committee of the Republican Party] for
the county shall be elected at large; and the number of members
of the said State central committee shall be equal to the number
of persons Montgomery County shall be entitled to elect to the
House of Delegates of the General Assembly of Maryland.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the vacancy created in
the central committee of the Democratic Party by virtue of the
enactment of this act shall be filled by the current member MEM-
BERS of said committee.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 93A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of St. Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Article 19 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's County," to
follow immediately after Section 93 thereof, and to be under the
new subtitle "Land Records," to require in St. Mary's County that
certain land documents be prepared by an attorney, his employee
or a party to the instrument for filing purposes by the clerk of
court.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 93A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
