(h) "Sales finance company" means a person engaged in the busi-
ness of acquiring, investing in, or lending money or credit on the
security of installment sale agreement made between other parties,
or any interest therein, retail credit account transactions made be-
tween other parties or any interest therein (as defined in subsection
153A(h) of this article), or home improvement transactions made
between other parties or any interest therein (as defined in subsec-
tion 249(c) of Article 56) where collateral security is required by
and given to the contractor as a condition thereto, whether by pur-
chase, discount, pledge, loan, or otherwise.

(b) "Sales finance company" means a person engaged in the
business of acquiring, investing in, or lending money or credit on

subsection 153A(h) of this Article), or home improvement transac-
tions made between other parties or any interest therein (as defined

quired by and given to the contractor as a condition thereto, whether
by purchase, discount, pledge, loan, or otherwise.

(e) "Goods" means all chattels personal having a cash price of
[two] five thousand dollars [($2,000.)] ($5,000) or less but not
including money or things in action.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 66A to Article 35 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Evidence," subtitle "Public Statutes, Office Copies
and Official Certificates," to follow immediately after Section 66
thereof to provide a method for proof of ordinances, regulations
and resolutions of the counties and municipal corporations of this
State, of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Com-
mission, and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 66A be and it is hereby added to Article 35 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "Evidences," subtitle "Public Statutes, Office
Copies and Official Certificates," to follow immediately after Section
66 thereof and to read as follows:
