Court for Prince George's County, regardless of the location where
cases are tried.
(h) The Chief Judge may make boundaries to establish venue
within Prince George's County to limit the filing of criminal, motor
vehicle, municipal ordinance cases, and civil suits to a particular
branch of the People's Court, physically located within those bound-
aries, to better serve and for the convenience of the residents of
Prince George's County living within those boundaries. It is the
purpose and intent of this subsection to eliminate the necessity of
residents having to travel from one end of the county to another in
order to appear in the People's Court.
(i) The Chief Judge shall be responsible for assigning the re-
spective locations at which all of the court personnel serve, and the
nature of their respective duties.
(j) The Chief Judge shall receive an additional sum of $1,000
per annum over and above his regular salary for his services as
Chief Judge.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968 THAT THIS ACT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE
AN EMERGENCY MEASURE AND NECESSARY FOR THE
IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH
AND SAFETY AND HAVING BEEN PASSED BY A YEA
AND NAY VOTE SUPPORTED BY THREE-FIFTHS OF ALL
THE MEMBERS ELECTED TO EACH OF THE TWO HOUSES
OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE SAME SHALL TAKE
EFFECT FROM THE DATE OF ITS PASSAGE.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 99 of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Supplement),
title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates System,"
to grant the judges of the People's Court for Prince George's
County the power and authority to issue writs of coram nobis
(writ of error).
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 99 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial
Magistrates System," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

The judges of the People's Court of Montgomery County, except
the People's Court judge for juvenile causes, and the judges of the
People's Court of Prince George's County, shall have all the authority,
powers, civil, criminal and juvenile jurisdiction ("except the judges
