and relating to construction of Maintenance and Storage Building
and site improvements; and to extend for two years, the period
during which the said items may be placed under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966,
be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time for
placing under contract an item, Section (5) (P) (4) (a), in said
Chapter 504 and found on page 853 of the Laws of 1966, making
available to Towson State College the sum of $302,000 for the con-
struction of Maintenance and Storage Building and the sum of
$22,000 for site improvements. There shall be allowed an additional
period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this Act, for
placing these projects under contract. If these projects shall not
have been placed under contract within a period of two years be-
ginning on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be deemed to
have been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966 shall be fully effective as to these
projects.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 172
(Senate Bill 689)

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 504 of the
Acts of 1966, said section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1966 must be
placed under contract, insofar as the provisions of said section
relate to an item contained in said Act for Bowie State College
and relating to Campus development; and to extend for two years,
the period during which the said item may be placed under
contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966,
be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time for
placing under contract an item, Section 5 (P) (1) (b), in said Chap-
ter 504 and found on page 851 of the Laws of 1966, making avail-
able to Bowie State College the sum of $82,000 for Campus develop-
ment. There shall be allowed an additional period of two years
beginning on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be deemed
to have been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966 shall be fully effective as to these
projects.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1968.
