To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, C. Stanley Blair, Secretary of State of Maryland, pur-
suant to the direction contained in Section 172 of Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), Do Hereby Certify,
That at a Special Election held in Garrett County, Maryland, on June
13th, 1967, an Act known as Chapter 554 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1967, was submitted to the voters of Garrett
County, Maryland, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
of Chapter 554 of the Acts of 1967, said Act being as follows:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 300
(a) of Article 77 of the Annotated code of Maryland (1965
Replacement Volume), title "Public Education", subtitle
"Chapter 31. Community Colleges", revising the laws relating
to public education to provide a system in Garrett County
whereby the question of establishing community colleges may
be submitted by the County Commissioners to the voters of
such county for approval."

and I do certify, that at said election held in Garrett County,
Maryland, 2,184 votes were cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter
554 of the Acts of 1967 and 933 votes were cast against the adoption
thereof, and a majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption
of said Chapter 554 of the Acts of 1967, the said Act has been ratified
by the voters of Garrett County, Maryland.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official Seal, at the City of An-
napolis, this 20th day of June, 1967.
