CHAPTER 702
(House Bill 615)

AN ACT to repeal or to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
certain sections of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion, Replacement Volumes, and 1967 Supplement), these sections
being more particularly listed as follows: Section 74(h) of Article
16, title "Chancery," subtitle "Adoption"; Section 59 of Article 26,
title "Courts," subtitle "Juvenile Causes"; Section 11A, subsec-
tions (b), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of Article 27, title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "Assault on Children"; Section 11 of
Article 30, title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "Public Assistance
to the Needy Blind"; Section 205 of Article 41, title "Executive
and Administrative Departments," subtitle "State Department of
Public Welfare"; Section 1B of Article 43, title "Health," subtitle
"State Board of Health and Mental Hygiene"; Sections 3 (a),
5(d), and 6 of Article 52A, title "Juvenile Services," subtitle
"In General"; Section 27 (c) of Article 64A, title "Merit System";
Section 2 of Article 70B, title "Commission on the Aged AGING";
Sections 1, 2, 3, 4A, 5, 5A, 6(1), 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 12A, 13, 14, 14A, 15,
16, 18A, 20, 21, 26, 28, 32, 32A, 45(a), 45(b), 57, 60A, 62 and 64 of
Article 88A title "State Department of Public Welfare," subtitles
"In General," "Local Tax Contributions," "Child Care," "Aid to
Families with Dependent Children," "Boarding Care for Children,"
"Prohibited Acts," and "Old Age Assistance"; and Sections 12
and 17 of Article 89C, title "Support of Dependents," subtitle "Civil
Enforcement," changing the anme NAME of the State Department
of Public Welfare, making similar or compensating changes to
the names and references to certain State or local welfare boards,
commissions, departments, and agencies, making similar or com-
pensating changes in the names or references to certain State or
local officials, removing certain obsolete provisions from the laws
concerning public welfare, re-arranging certain of the laws and
provisions concerning public welfare, and relating generally to the
laws and provisions concerning public welfare in this State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That certain sections of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
