2B, title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Board of License Com-
missioners," of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1967 Supplement), to follow immediately after Section 150(a)
thereof and to read as follows:
150.
(a-1) In Cecil County, the Board of County Commissioners shall
appoint three OTHER persons, all of whom are to be of high moral
character and possess a sound reputation for integrity, who shall con-
stitute the board of license commissioners for the county; the
members of the board shall designate their own chairman; the first
members of said board to be appointed for three, four and five-year
terms, respectively, and their successors thereafter for terms of five
years each. The board of license commissioners shall meet at least
once a month and each member shall receive no compensation but
shall be entitled to necessary expenses in connection with their
duties to be paid by the Commissioners.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 151 of Article
2B of said Code, title and subtitle, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments to read as follows:
151.
The respective boards of county commissioners shall ex officio
constitute the boards of license commissioners in [Cecil,] Dor-
chester, Howard, Kent and Worcester counties.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That Section 155(i) of Article
2B of said Code, title and subtitle, be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That the Cecil County
Board of License Commissioners as created and established under
Sections 150 and 155 of this Article is abolished and its functions
are turned over to the board of license commissioners as provided
in this Act.
Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
