(A) The Director shall upon request, under the supervision of the
Commission of Forests and Parks, [and whenever he deems it essen-
tial to the best interest of the people of the State,] cooperate with
ASSIST other State agencies, counties, towns, corporations and indi-
viduals in preparing plans for park, [and] recreation and natural
area acquisition and development, the acquisition of multiple use areas
including protection of watersheds, management and replacement
of trees, woodlots, and timber tracts under an agreement that the
parties obtaining such assistance pay at least the filed FIELD ex-
penses of the men employed in preparing said plans.
The Department of Forests and Parks is hereby authorized to
accept for the State of Maryland any federal funds or appropriations
of money for any park, [or] recreation or natural area planning,
acquisition or development purposes which may BE hereafter made
out of the federal treasury by any act or acts of Congress.
(B) THE PROVISIONS HEREIN CONTAINED DO NOT CON-
FER UPON THE DEPARTMENT OF FORESTS AND PARKS
AUTHORITY OF ANY KIND OR DEGREE AS RESPECTS
THE ADMINISTRATION OF LANDS UNDER THE JURIS-
DICTION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND INLAND
FISH OR LANDS THAT MAY BE ACQUIRED IN THE
FUTURE BY THE SAID DEPARTMENT.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

(House Bill 419)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40(x)
(3) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion and 1967 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys
in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," providing for an increase
in the salary for the deputy State's attorney of Worcester County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40(x)(3) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition and 1967 Supplement), title "Attorneys at
Law and Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
40(x).
(3) Subject to the approval of the resident judge of the
Circuit Court, the State's Attorney may appoint a member of the
bar of Worcester County as deputy State's attorney, to serve at
